German WWII Boxed Gorget for Fifty Year Veterans Organization- A prime example of a scarce veteran’s gorget in textbook configuration. This example has the enameled veteran’s organization logo in a center shield flanked by highly detailed wreath and imperial flags. The number “50” in an enameled circle is above the crest. Here is another example of the years of service being calculated in such a fashion that it exceeds the actual existence of the Third Reich. The front of the gorget is also beautifully engraved with the terminology “Kameradschaft Wintersdorf.” The gorget itself is in beautiful condition, including the blue wool ribbed backing which does show light wear. One of the attachment clips is stamped with a large number “1” for the maker. Complete with its original chain. This offering also includes a veteran’s stick pin and the veteran’s pinback for the organization. These are all still nestled in a blue felt bag and then in a rectangular box which measures approximately 7 inches across by 4 ½ inches wide. The box has the symbol for the veteran’s organization on the top. It does have a few repairs with scotch tape but is in overall very sound condition with the gorget itself being in full excellent condition.
