German WWI Prussian Officer’s Spike Helmet-Representative example with a patent leather body with early brass fittings. The exception to this is the top portion of the spike, which is the correct officer’s style but it is made of a steel material. This has the correct officer’s chinstrap with the leather interior still in place. The interior of the helmet which appears to be around a size 55, is intact including the ribbed cloth liner and wide leather sweatband. I believe that the officer’s rosettes are reproductions. The helmet is slightly misshapen but when placed on a mannequin head it would recover most of its shape and size. Very good representative example.
