WWII German Model 1942 Army Single Decal Helmet-This is a combat helmet which retains 70% of its original field grey finish. The army decal is 80% intact. The size 58 liner has a lot of wear, discoloration and missing/torn material, some of which is attached to the original drawstring. There is a zinc liner band which is maker marked, dated 1940 and size stamped 66/58. The side of the interior is stamped ET 66 which indicates production by Eisenhuttenwerke of Thale in the size of 66. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number 2500 indicating production in late 1942/early 1943. The chinstrap is present but torn in half. A good example overall!
