WWII US M-1 Helmet-This is a front seam, swivel bale example. There is a tan canvas chinstrap which has steel hardware. There is minor wear and discoloration. Someone painted “3A” at the front of the interior. The same black paint is seen on the rim of the Westinghouse liner telling us that these have been together forever. There is heavy wear to the interior, especially the sweatband. The leather chinstrap is missing. A sound example overall!
