WWII German Forestry Official Tunic and Trouser Set-This is in excellent condition and is a private purchase set. The tunic is produced in dark green wool. There is extremely minor wear and discoloration only. The collar tabs are in the last pattern (1942-1945) and are for the rank of “forstlehring”. The tunic has a four button closure and all buttons are dark green bakelite. There is green piping at each closure seam, around the French cuffs, along each scalloped pocket flap edge and at the tail. Back to the collar tabs, which are green badge cloth with silver twist rope piping and silver flat wire/bullion oak leave clusters. Interestingly (and appropriately), this tunic doesn’t have and never did have shoulder boards. This is correct for this rank. The interior is fully lined in green rayon that is excellent. There is a tailor tag in the neck area and another inside the pocket on the left side. There is a name inside on the tag and the date is April 10, 1942. There is a strap with slot and clip for display of an edged weapon. The trousers match the tunic beautifully. They are produced in the same green wool as the tunic and are piped in dark green down each leg. There are a few small stains which I believe would clean up if you desired to do so. They will fit up to a size 30 and they are 41” in length. There is a tailor name tag inside (same tailor and partial name) with the date April 11, 1942. A fantastic set!
