US WWII M-1 Helmet w/Early Firestone Liner-The McCord shell is a fairly early example with a stamp number of 584c which puts its production from May to August of 1943. It is excellent with literally 99.9% of the finish intact. There are square fixed bales with an OD3 chinstrap. The hardware is brass. It is of course a front seam example. The 1942 production Firestone liner has a smooth exterior finish that is mostly intact. There are no cracks or other damage. The suspension is OD3 which has minor discoloration only. The headband is marked. There are unfinished “A” washers. The brown leather chinstrap is a removable example. It is excellent. A great example is excellent condition!
