Originally an other ranks cap, it was upgraded to an officer type during the period. This included a black velvet center band and a bullion chin cord. The body of the cap is produced in a very soft black wool that is excellent. The body has a few minor bends on either side by the center band. The white piping seen at the top panel and at the upper and lower edges of the black velvet center band is in excellent condition. The eagle and skull are both tombak with a nickel silver finish. The finish has toned on each piece. The black vulkanfibre visor is shiny, with some minor crazing. The underside is finished in an orange brown hue with crosshatching. There is an RZM SS ink stamp on the underside of the visor. The interior is lined in orange brown rayon. There is minor wear and discoloration from use. There is a fully intact, rhomboid shaped moisture shield with gold foil runes and script that reads \"Stirndruckfrei durch Gummipolster\" and the size 56 1\/2. There is a paper tag in the slot with the name of the SS man and his SS number, Dinkel, SS nr, 1869 (very early). There is an orange brown ersatz leather sweatband that is in good condition. It is soft and supple. There is a large RZM tag underneath. This is a very early style with purple ink stamped RZM followed by the maker number 60. This is an early model by Opolka\/Müller, Hamburg, ca. 1934. Acquired by U.S. Army CIC member who arrested officer tried for execution of U.S. flyers. This is a great example of this type! \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"The Ruptured Duck, LLC","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":67900886450482,"sku":"WSHG-192","price":11500.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1141\/9332\/files\/WW2_German_Allgemiene_SS_Visor_Cap_2431.jpg?v=1791569366","url":"https:\/\/www.therupturedduck.com\/products\/allgemeine-ss-officer-visor-cap-named-officer-upgrade","provider":"The Ruptured Duck, LLC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
