Beautiful Adolf Hitler Birthday Card-This is totally hand done and was sent to the Führer at the Reichs Chancellery on the event of his 49th birthday. It is heavy card stock and measures 14” by 9”. Hand painted imagery is of a broad sword, oak leaves and a national flag. Script reads “The Creator of Great Germany on his 49th Birthday”. The dates 1889 and 1938 are seen. This item is referenced in Volume 3 of my book “Stories Behind the Treasures of World War II, The Making of a Collectorholic”. The GI that brought it back was able to get into the Reichs Chancellery and went up to the 3rd floor which of course had suffered some damage. He found this and many other birthday cards etc that were sent to the Führer. Unique and interesting!
