The silver has a very nice toning, which accentuates the details on this badge which is a beautifully vaulted example. The pin with the hinge and catch works as intended. This example is marked with the number “62”, indicating production by Kerbach \u0026amp; Oesterhalt of Dresden. Known as a maker \"62\" in the production of German awards and decorations, their pieces are rarely seen marked. The case is excellent. The facsimile of the war merit cross on the top is gorgeous. The case shows only slight wear. The inside is lined in white silk and black velvet on the bottom. The inside of the case is marked for Oesterhalt as well.
