Gerd von Rundstedt Hand Signed Note from Nürnberg Trials-Field Marshall Ger von Rundstedt personally signed this note. It is part of a group that we were recently able to acquire which included a number of autographs from a guard at the Nuremburg Trials. The name of the guard was SFC George Wickham (RA 6667428) who served as a Military Police soldier. He stayed in the service and we have his 1951-2 personal calendar/diary which indicates he stayed in the service and in Korea sees considerable action. Wickham also wrote a note on the front and back of this piece of paper. It says:
0700 Field Marschal (sic)
Rundstedt after standing in the hot sun said that this treatment was outrageous. The British treat me according to my rank, and respect my standing as a field marshall. But the Bloody (he used the typical English expression) yanks treat me like a P.F.C.
Rundstedt spoke very good English."
On lined paper with some minor discoloration and folding marks. Wow, a very unique item!
