German 1919 Navy Dagger-This is the very early scarce and desirable first iteration of the model 1919 dagger. It has solid brass fittings on the pommel with the flaming ball pommel cap. It has a single brass twisted wire. The scabbard retains 10% of its original black paint. It has a single fitting with ring which would attach to a fabric strap belt attachment. The blade is nickel plated but there are dark spots and some pitting. The locking mechanism which holds the blade in place functions properly. This is complete with a rarely properly tied knot which is bullion and has red flecks throughout the length of the cord. As found condition and is sometimes classified as a bayonet vs a dagger. Rough, rare, and real!
