The “P” guard solid brass hilt along with the black wooden handle with triple wire grip wrap is in very sound condition. The brass fittings with a black leather scabbard is also in fine condition but has shrunk a bit making it impossible to get the blade totally into the scabbard. It gets to about 1” from being fully inserted. The red felt buffer is still in place under the cross guard. The blade is in good condition but has areas of dark spots and some light pitting. There is a patriotic engraved motif, but this is difficult to see. A good placeholder and priced accordingly.
