German Pre-WWII Army Ordnance Sword by Eickhorn-This measures approx. 34 1/2” in length. Near perfect example with solid brass “P” guard and hilt. The black celluloid grip is in perfect condition with triple brass wire wrap. The original leather finger holder is still in place. This has the German proofs known as waffenamts all over the place. This example has a perfect anodized black steel scabbard. The blade is in mirror mint condition and has a thick dark brown leather buffer under the cross guard. This is a scarce example because it has the 1935-41 Eickhorn squirrel logo and is also deeply stamped under the cross guard with CE/38. So, this is a 1938 vintage ordinance sword which is the last year you will encounter this type of sword.
