German Pre WWII Early SA Dagger-This is a very nice example of an early production dagger with most of the early production characteristics. The reason I say this has most of the characteristics associated with an early production, is that the fittings are solid nickel and the scabbard has a beautiful copper anodizing. However, this is different because there is, and never was, a group mark on the reverse of the bottom crossguard. Additionally, there is no maker mark on the back of the blade. I closely examined this piece and the cross graining on the reverse is 100% visible and therefore I do not believe this is a ground Röhm. The brown wooden handle has an aluminum grip eagle, which is unusual, along with the enameled SA runic button. This is an uncleaned and untouched piece and as I previously indicated the anodizing on the scabbard is worth the cost of the entire dagger. The blade is in excellent condition with the usual in and out marks, but otherwise as I mentioned earlier, the factory cross graining is very visible. I welcome any feedback on this particular piece.
