German WWI Pocket Watch Case by Argu-This is a silver plate over brass, a small pocket watch case. It measures just about 5cm in diameter. It was covered in a brown finish, which is mostly gone on the outside of the case, but is almost fully intact on the inside. The window is cloudy from age, but has a very nice vintage tone. There is a leather strap complete with small metal sliders. This is attached to the case with a very small snap clip. The other end has a jewelry type of clasp that would connect to your coat or vest, to allow the case to fit this piece into your watch pocket. Nicely marked on the front with Argu Depos, and it has what appears to be a model number “21” on the reverse. Interesting piece of history from World War 1.
