This medal was reinstituted on the 19\u003csup\u003eth\u003c\/sup\u003e of July in 1870 by King Wilhelm I. They were issued between the summer of 1870 through 1871. This is a very good example with an iron core that has the majority of its black finish intact on both the front and back. The silver frame has a very nice tone to it. There are great details to the raised crown, W and the date 1870. The reverse shows the crown, below this sits the initials FW, oakleaves and the date of 1813. There is a short portion of original ribbon that does show some age toning. Unfortunately, the ring has broken off.
