The blue Moroccan leather handle and scabbard are in very good condition. Be aware that the Moroccan leather on the handle is showing scuffs on the reverse of the handle. This is slight, but please be sure to see the photos. The twisted silver wire grip wrap is in place and nicely toned. The bronze gilt is missing on the upper pommel cap, but it does retain the majority of the toned nickel silver finish. The pommel cap is slightly loose; we have not attempted to tighten this. The details of the crossguard are also very good. The toning of the sunwheel inlay on the crossguard is excellent, with the sunwheel retaining the majority of its bronze gilt. The details and tone of the crossguard give this dagger a terrific look. The leather on the scabbard is dry and flaking slightly. There is some leather loss to the reverse, so please be sure to look closely at the photos. The nickel silver scabbard fittings are excellent. They are nicely toned. The tip of the scabbard remains dent free. The blade is very good. It shows the usual in and out runner marks from the scabbard but overall is near excellent. The SMF logo can be seen on the reverse of the blade, under the crossguard. This comes complete with an early, nickel chain that retains the majority of its toned, nickel silver finish. The snap clip works are intended. This is a handsome example of an early Luftwaffe dagger!

Online checkout is not supported for edged weapons.
