German WWII 98K Bayonet by Dürkopp-This has the ribbed Bakelite handles which are excellent. The parkerized finish on the hilt and the scabbard is a full 90% intact. This is a commercial grade example and has a few waffenamts and a three-digit number (672) under the crossguard. The scabbard is not marked at all. The finish on both the bayonet and the scabbard is light in a few places and has a very minimal amount of rust. The Bakelite grips are slotted and in excellent condition. The blued blade has the usual finish missing towards the tip. It does show some sharpening but is otherwise very nice. The backstrap of the blade is marked 37 and shows a waffenamt, and the back of the blade is marked DÜRKOPP. This is a nice commercial example by a rare maker.
