German WWII 98K Matched Bayonet-This example is totally matched throughout and is nicely marked with 44fnj. This has a ribbed Bakelite handle which is excellent. The serial number 1109 on blade and scabbard match, indicating that these were issued together as a set. The scabbard is nicely anodized. The blued blade is a thing of beauty, with only slight edge sharpening. This is a late war model with a thin black leather service frog that does show moderate wear. The strap is broken at the neck. This frog is marked, though it is difficult to read but it may say SS. Take a look for yourself. A handsome example.
