It has lost the majority of its original green paint on the obverse, some remains in the lowest details, but this is quite small. More is in place on the reverse. This shows moderate wear, the eagle’s feathers are worn quite flat, and the motto shows buffing. Again, this is cool, since you know some poor guy wore this buckle, probably every day he was serving, it’s cool to see wear from general use. These pieces always tell a story. There are two small scratches to the left side of the wreath. These are old. This has an integrated catch, and an aluminum rollbar. This buckle is very nicely marked under the catch with LuF, for Linden \u0026amp; Funke G.m.b.H.
