Japanese WWII Anti Tank Clay Mine Base-This is a very interesting artifact. This example is an earthenware or clay pot used for a mine. As mines were used on beaches and under water, the mine could be deployed inside an earthenware or concrete pot that acted as a waterproof jacket. It would also make the mine more difficult to detect, by early metal detectors. This example is a brown clay like material, it does have a few chips on the side, but is overall in very good condition. Talk about a conversation piece!  This weighs approx. 6 pounds (2+kg), so extra shipping may apply. Thanks to my pal Jason S for helping us to identify this!
