German WWII DAF Porcelain Cup-Small coffee cup, which stands about 2 ½” tall. Red trim on the rim. Very nicely marked on the bottom, with “The Beauty of Labour (Schönheit der Arbeit)” stamp, which was a propaganda organization of the Nazi government from the period 1934 to its eventual disbandment in 1945. One of its principal functions was workplace design and the beautification of the German work environment. Interesting that this group campaigned for improved cleanliness, better hygiene, proper work attire, changing rooms, lockers, better air, and less noise in factories and other places of employment. This DAF logo is stamped on the base, along with place of manufacture, Eschbach, Bavaria. This stamp has faded some, but overall excellent condition with no chips.
