German WWII DRK Center Plaque for Gorget- This is a spectacular example of a coronet shaped plate with the enameled DRK eagle in the center. This would sit in the center of a DRK or Red Cross gorget. The enamel of the eagle does show some wear. This is superimposed over a very detailed wreath that, in turn, has a series of four flags in the background. You can even see the Red Cross Eagle on the right flag and a very faint image of a swastika on the left flag. This is made out of brushed aluminum. There are three bolts in place on the reverse that would attach this to the gorget itself. This is gorgeous and something we rarely encounter.
