German WWII Luftwaffe (Airforce) Jagdgeschwader Richthofen Cufftitle-This is a very scarce commemorative honor cufftitle. It was one of a series of commemorative honor cufftitles that were introduced by the Luftwaffe to honor fallen comrades and heroic pilots of WWI. This example is constructed of dark blue fabric with silvery-grey threaded bullion and a machine embroidered script that reads “Jagdgeschwader Richthofen” on the obverse. It would have been worn by an enlisted man. The edges are folded backwards and secured via blue stitching. This measures 20 ½ inches in length, and is handsome.
