German WWII M-16 Austrian Double Decal Transitional Helmet-This example retains approx. 90% of the original early issue smooth green paint. The army decal checks in at 90% and has a coat of shellac covering the decal for protection. The tri color shield remains 60% intact, as at one point someone attempted to scrape the decal off. This also has a shellac covering. This transitional example has the usual single non reinforced zinc WWII liner setup. It has a size 57 liner which is near excellent condition with a replaced drawstring. This is an interesting example as the original D-ring setup for the chin strap was not removed from the interior of the shell. Representative example and priced accordingly.
