The glass that covers the directional device is a replacement, and is not glued into the compass, so it pops out, and as the device just sits on the pin, there is a danger the directional device can fall out and get lost. This makes a good display piece only. \u003cspan style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eThe neck string\/rope is still present. This is not maker marked, but the bakelite markings are present on the bottom.
