German WWII Model 1935 Army Single Decal Reissue Helmet-This example has a heavy feldgrau finish and the army decal is applied over this. There are visible cracks in the decal as it was applied over the finish, very interesting. The finish remains 80% intact. The liner remains very soft and has minor discoloration with scuffing along the lower edge. There is a drawstring and a non-reinforced aluminum liner band. This is an extremely early example that is maker marked, dated 1931 (first year liner band!) and size stamped 64. There are a few bends in the liner band, and one of the washers for a rivet is missing. The side of the interior is stamped ET 64 indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke in the size of 64. The rear skirt is stamped with a lot number that is too hard to read due to the reissue paint. There is some writing in green ink but this is also too hard to read. There is an original brown leather chinstrap that has been repaired and is still a bit fragile. An interesting example overall!
