German WWII Model 42 Combat Police Helmet- Choice example retaining better than 95% of a very rough textured gray combat paint. Both decals have factory applied shellac which extends slightly beyond the shape of the decal. The police decal rates 95% and let’s call the party shield decal a conservative 85%. The size 59 liner with its original drawstring is in full excellent condition with only slight discoloration. This is a late production helmet with the shell markings being located in the rear of the skirt. It is marked “hkp 66” with the production batch number underneath. This comes complete with its absolutely original to the helmet marked and dated 1943 black leather chinstrap. Top shelf example.
