German WWII Non-Portable Award for Honor Prize-The prize would be for the Gau #33 of Göttingen. The dark brown leatherette case measures 3 ½ inches square or 8cm. The cover is embossed in gold writing that reads “Ehrenpreis des Gaus nr 33 Göttingen”. There is a substantial scuff on the bottom of the case, with some of the brown covering missing. But the rest of the case shows very little wear, and the clasp works perfectly. The medal itself is amazing to look at. There is a very striking eagle standing above a stylized lion. The eagle has huge detailed wings that look huge and terrific. Below the eagle is a mobile swastika. This is also nicely dated ’37. The reverse is maker marked with RZM M/183 /DGRM for the maker JFS, Josef Felix Söhne. This is a very interesting award we have never encountered before.
