German WWII NSKK Dagger by Eickhorn-This is an interesting variant and is a partial ground Röhm. This was an SA dagger that was re-issued to NSKK. You can certainly tell that this was a very early SA dagger by some remaining characteristics. The brown wooden handle is in very good condition, though there is one spot of discoloration on the reverse. There are a couple of old dents in the handle, just above the crossguard. The SA eagle and runic button are in very good condition. The nickel silver fittings retain the majority of their silver finish. The reverse of the lower cross guard is marked with an “H” Gruppe mark, but this is hard to make out. It appears as either “Ha” for Hansa or “He” for Hesson. The scabbard may be an old repaint and has 90% of the black finish in place. The nickel silver fittings are toned. The ball on the bottom fitting is dented. There is one screw missing from the lower scabbard fitting. The blade has some dark spots so this blade will rate as Very Good. It is still quite interesting as you can still easily see the deeply etched motto “Alles für Deutschland” on the obverse and the Carl Eickhorn logo on the reverse. The reverse of the blade also offers the partial Röhm presentation piece where only the name was eradicated. This comes with the correct leather hanger that is in sound condition.
