German WWII Police NCO Sword by WKC-This is a fine example that measures 39 ½ inches (100.33cm) in length. The black ribbed wooden handle damage free and in excellent condition. The zinc police eagle retains its finish and has a very nice tone and details. The nickel silver on the guard, crossguard and pommel show some slight lifting, I would rate this as being 95% intact. The fitting that sits just above the crossguard is slightly loose but is beautiful in its detailing. The original brown leather buffer is still in place under the crossguard. The scabbard retains the majority of its original black finish and shows the usual bumps and bruises, as well as some finish loss near the top fitting. This top nickel silver scabbard fitting does show discoloration, but this is mostly isolated to the reverse side. It has very good details. The blade is very good, it has the desirable WKC knight logo on the obverse, with the SS proof mark on the reverse side. The blade shows the usual in and out marks but is overall very good. This is a very good example of an NCO police sword.
