German WWII Postal Dagger by Weyersberg-Very sound example, with the black handle having some light nicks which are mostly confined to the obverse. The stylized postal organization grip eagle is in excellent condition. The plating on both the hilt and the scabbard fittings is a full 98%! The original black enamel paint on the scabbard is a solid 85%. The nickel silver chain, with the appropriate DRGM marking on the belt hook is in excellent condition. The Weyersberg marked blade does have some light scratches, probably caused by the “in and out” action but still has nice factory cross graining. The pebbled black leather buffer is still in place under the cross guard. The underside of the crossguard has the correct DRP marking, along with the serial number 1395. Near excellent example throughout and priced to sell.
