German WWII Red Cross Hewer-Sound overall example with approx. 50% of the nickel plating remaining on the hilt and scabbard. Both grip plates are in excellent condition. The blade rates very good overall with some nicks and scratches on the unique serrated edge. The buffer is in place under the crossguard. A close examination reveals that the scabbard is a repainted example. This is complete with a very good and lightly marked black leather frog. This has a RBNr number which is unusual to find on a red cross example. Priced to sell.
