German WWII Red Cross Sew In Shoulder Board Set-This is a beautiful set of DRK shoulder boards that are made out of a gray wool that is piped in a light silvery gray. These shoulder straps would be worn by a Vorhelfer, or a helper assistant in the Red Cross. There is a silver pip on each of the boards that retains the majority of the silver finish. The prongs for the pips can be seen on the reverse of the boards. This is the 1938 pattern, as the DRK uniforms were changed substantially after the treaty of Versailles. Excellent.
