German WWII Short Model Dress Bayonet by Tiger-Listen up! If you are in the market for a starter bayonet for your collection, this might be the bayonet for you. This has some very nice characteristics for your first dress bayonet. The finish on the nickel-plated pommel, crossguard and fittings are very good, and I would say they are a conservative 95% intact. The checkered grip plates are also excellent, as are the rivets. The mortise button is fully functional. The leather buffer is still in place under the crossguard. The scabbard has some finish loss, and a few scuffs, but this is mostly isolated to the reverse side. Otherwise, the scabbard finish is a strong 70% intact. The ball at the tip has lost its finish, but remains undented, and has a nice dark gray tone. The blade is near excellent and double marked with the Tiger logo. The tiger itself can be seen on one side, with the “Tiger/Solingen” script on the other. Again, this is a great short bayonet in many ways.
