German WWII SS Himmler Dagger by Eickhorn-This is an untouched, uncleaned example purchased directly from the son of a US Army veteran. We shall of course, supply all of the details to the lucky buyer. I hope, by now, you have examined all of the photos, and appreciate the overall appearance and presentation of this offering. The solid nickel cross guards are intact but have some verdigris on the crossguards and lower scabbard fitting. This, of course, should you choose, will clean up. This same attribute goes for the nickel silver eagle in the black wooden handle. The handle itself is an excellent fit with no visible damage or cracks. Even the SS runic button has a bit of verdigris but shows only slight wear to the enamel. The anodizing on the scabbard is in excellent condition overall with some slight discoloration on the back. The blade is in very good overall condition with some cloudiness but virtually no damage otherwise. The motto which translates to “My Honor Is Loyalty” is deeply etched into the blade. The Himmler dedication is also very clear. This is an unquestionable textbook example! The number “0” is seen underneath the lower crossguard which was put there by the quality control craftsman who assembled this dagger. The early Eickhorn logo is the textbook example for this vintage dagger. It is complete with a short black leather strap with an early, unmarked nickel silver fittings which are also 100% correct for this rare dagger. It has been a while since I have owned one of these and here it is for your visual enjoyment and opportunity. Overall, very sound, untouched condition.
