German WWII Volunteer Turkistan Unit Sleeve Patch-This is the unissued, printed cloth Turkistan sleeve shield. The Turkistanische Legion, founded in May of 1942, was the name for the military units composed of the Turkic peoples who fought in the Wehrmacht during World War II. Most of these troops were Red Army POWs who formed a common cause with the Germans. This is slightly faded, but is unissued and in very good shape.
