The obverse shows the national eagle holding a wreathed swastika, behind \"TAT\", underneath \"Meine Erste\", and above the script \"Gau: Hamburg WHW 1936\/37\". The reverse has a horizontal pin that functions perfectly. This is maker marked for Carl Wild of Hamburg. The WHW was a large state-run social welfare and relief organization that distributed thousands of different commemorative tinnies to citizens in exchange for donations. The phrase \u003ci\u003e\"Meine Erste\"\u003c\/i\u003e was used on badges given to first-time donors to encourage continued civic participation in the charity drives.
