German WWII Wireless Operator’s Badge (Fliegerschützenabzeichen)- This veteran acquired badge is a marked example, in silvered tombac, maker marked B & N L (for Berg & Nolte, Lüdenscheid). This choice piece is a textbook example, of early fine quality badge. On this example, the wreath is nicely toned. The nickel/silver eagle is excellent, having no visible wear and having toned nicely. The eagle is quite secure to the wreath. The reverse features a sheet metal hinge, a needle pin and a flat wire, “C” shaped catch. A fine example of a desirable badge! As stated earlier, this is a veteran acquired piece, and the veterans’ details will be supplied to the buyer.
