Hitler Youth Leader Tunic and Breeches-The tunic is produced in olive drab wool. There is very minor wear and discoloration from use and age. It is a great looking coat. There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. There is a four button closure and all buttons are nickel silver plated pebbled metal. There are sew in shoulder board of black cloth with red piping and red cloth sewn number 286. Each has a pair of zinc pips. The rank is scharführer, roughly equivalent to a staff sergeant. The buttons for the shoulder boards have the number “7”. The left sleeve has a HJ district triangle for Nord Niedersachsen and there is a beautiful cloth Hitler Youth armband as well. The left breast pocket has loops for a single medal. The interior is fully lined in gold rayon. it is in fine condition with minor wear and discoloration from use. There is a single pocket on the left side. The breeches are black wool. They are in great condition with minor wear only. The lower legs have zippered closures. There are slash type hip pockets and a pair of buttoned rear pockets. There is a four button fly with an additional button at the waist. They are in 39” length and the waist is a size 32. The breeches are period but we are not certain that they are WWII. Consider them a free throw in to help complete your display!
