Imperial Hunting Cutlass-This is a full 31” in length and is a beautiful imperial vintage 19th century hunting cutlass. The solid brass hilt has a partial wooden handle which is held in place by 3 large domed head studs. It has a fluted clamshell cross guard. The black leather scabbard is fully intact and has solid brass fittings. This is complete with its original skinning knife which measures a total of 8 ¾”. The blade is where the money is, as this is a beautifully engraved blue panel with gold gilted fittings, with the center motif being a deeply engraved hunting scene. I strongly encourage you to look at the photos as this is a seldom encountered 19th century edged blade.
