Imperial Rifle Association Dagger-Interesting example which I have never encountered before from this vintage. However, it does not surprise me as the Rifle Association was a very active group for many decades in Germany. The white celluloid ribbed handle is in excellent condition. The silver fittings on the handle are also completely intact. This measures approx. 23” in length. The blade does go into the scabbard with a bit of difficulty. The scabbard itself has a beautiful ornate clam shell with a Weimar period eagle separately attached. The finish on the scabbard finish remains 50% intact but the black leather is really in excellent condition. The patent leather frog is very nicely marked. Please see photos. Overall, excellent example.
