Keitel, Raeder and Sauckel Signed Paper from Nuremberg Trials-This is part of a group that we were recently able to acquire which included a number of autographs from a guard at the Nuremburg Trials. The name of the guard was SFC George Wickham (RA 6667428) who served as a Military Police soldier. He stayed in the service and we have his 1951-2 personal calendar/diary which indicates he stayed in the service and in Korea sees considerable action. It is a piece of paper that measures just over 4" square. It is hand signed by Wilhelm von Keitel (German field marshal who served as chief of the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht, the Supreme Command of the Armed Forces), Erich Raeder (Grand Admiral of the Kriegsmarine) and Fritz Sauckel (Gauleiter of Thuringia and the General Plenipotentiary for Labour Deployment from 1942 until the end of WWII). It is dated 1946 by Keitel. Of course, Sauckel and Keitel were sentenced to death and hung. Raeder was sentenced to life but released early due to failing health, dying in 1960. Wickham wrote a note by Keitels signature:
"Von Keitel Fieldmarshal, 3rd hung"
What a piece of history!
