The obverse depicts an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, with a diving eagle clutching a set of lightning bolts. The reverse portrays classic die-struck injection mold signs with classic makers mark “A” by Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid. This is the “Type 4” which means the last of the four dies used by Assmann was utilized in this manufacture. The toning and details on this badge are stunning.
