Rare German WWI Era Model 1919 Navy Dagger-I have not had one of these to offer in some quite some time since it is such a specialized piece. The brass hilt fittings with the flame style pommel and the later style capstans for crossguards. The black ebony style wooden handle has damage to the upper portion, and normal wear to the other areas. It does have the brass twisted wire grip. The scabbard is an object of beauty, has a deeply hammered brass example with some discoloration on the obverse lower section. I have not ever tried to clean this and will leave that to your discretion. The scabbard ramps are a beautifully twisted naval style knot with super detailing. The nickel-plated blade is plain, which is normal. There is some lifting on the plated finish but it still is 85% intact. The button on the reverse of the cross guard still functions properly and the red felt buffer is in place. It has an early bullion knot with a unique and symbolic tie. I do not know what this means, but It has been tied this way for almost a century. Beautiful type dagger.
