Spandau: The Secret Diaries by Albert Speer-This is the hardcover, first edition, published by MacMillan Publishing Company in 1976. The Spandau Diaries, written while Speer was incarcerated in Spandau Prison between 1947 and 1966, are far more unvarnished, due to their nature as journal entries. The book content was smuggled out of the prison on toilet paper, tobacco wrappings and calendar pages. They delineate the battle of a man with loneliness and someone who I believe struggled to accept his place in history. This hardcover book contains 463 pages and is in good condition. The pages are clean, and the binding is tight. There is some edge damage to the dust cover.
