Spandauer Tagebücher by Albert Speer-This is a gorgeous hardcover, written in German. In excellent condition with a dust cover that is excellent. This book is a first edition, and published in 1975. Signed by Speer himself.  When Albert Speer was captured and sentenced at Nuremberg, he was the only defendant to plead guilty, he started keeping this secret diary; with much of it written on toilet paper. After 20 years of imprisonment, he found 25,000 of the smuggled pages waiting for him, and from those entries he shaped this deeply powerful document. One reviewer has said it is of extraordinary political and psychological interest and a must for anyone interested in psychological motivation of political action and the problem of guilt and repentance. And just a note, remember it is written in German not English.
