This shows the soldier taking the oath to the Führer. This album most likely came from the owner of the standarte patch, but this is not confirmed. The album is covered in faux black textured leather. It measures 13 inches (33.02cm) long, by 9 inches (22.86cm) wide. There are 11 blank pages remaining in the album. There is a pamphlet from the 1961 reunion. Notice the photograph of the standarte without the swastika. Very interesting! We are including this as well. The coolest part is that we have the actual patch that came with the album. It is in very good condition, and is tunic removed.\u003cspan style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eThe patch is machine woven (BeVo) in three colors: aluminum thread (flat wire), red thread (artillery branch color), and black thread – all woven onto a thin, dark green rayon backing cloth. The insignia portrays two crossed Standards in miniature, with a cluster of oak leaves in aluminum thread woven at the bottom center.  This very colorful and desirable patch would be worn on the right shoulder of the one person in the unit that was designated to carry the regimental standarte (flag).
