This hardcover book is used, but in like new condition. There is a name written in the inscription box, but this is not the author’s name, so possibly a previous owner. The binding is very tight, and the edges are pristine. I’m not sure if this book was ever even read. It is in excellent shape. This book measures 9 inches (22.86 cm) tall by 6 inches (15.24cm) wide. Published by R. James Bender in 1985 and written by Ludwig Baer. This 448-page textbook is a full history of the German steel helmet. This book is full of descriptions of each type of helmet and contains many black and white photos showing the different examples of that helmet. There are a few color photos of helmet decals, helmets and soldiers wearing the helmets. Most of these photos are in black and white but there are some great photos of soldiers wearing the helmets during wartime. Again, this is in almost new condition!
