Third Reich Field Police Model 1934 Double Decal Helmet-This is an interesting item with great markings. It is produced in aluminum and there is a satin black finish that is mostly intact. There are spots that were touched up a long time ago, including around the area where the decals are. The left side has a bordered police decal that has toned and remains 75% intact. The right side has a party shield that has also toned and checks in at 90%. This has the slots for a comb but it doesn’t have one installed. There are salt and pepper shaker type ventilation grommets. The liner is leather and includes a drawstring. There is minor wear, scuffing and discoloration. It has a great maker stamping which indicates it was produced by Carl Henkel of Bielefeld. It is also size stamped 56. The shell is stamped “Thale-Stahl”. A very good example overall!
